After a sustained campaign by the LNP, the Palaszczuk Labor Government has bowed to pressure and reduced learner licence fees from the most expensive in the country ($186.55) to $75!
The State Government attacked us for going into bat for Queenslanders on this, but we did not stop and got a result.
This is a great result for Queenslanders, but our work is not done.
The State Government is still not listening to Queenslanders struggling under cost-of-living pressures.
Queenslanders deserve better than a government that doesn’t listen and is always too slow to act.
It’s a pity that the State Government only ever acts when they’ve been caught out by the Opposition or media.
Learner Licence fees in Queensland are still the second highest in the country and remain three times more expensive than NSW and Victoria.
