Paying your toll will be much simpler following the launch of a new website that provides a one-stop shop for information about Queensland toll roads.
Assistant Minister for Public Transport Steve Minnikin said the new Queensland Toll Roads website will help visitors to Brisbane and casual toll road users avoid confusion over what they owe and how to pay.
“The new website is a win for motorists providing information on the location of Brisbane’s five toll roads and toll points, how and when to pay tolls and how to avoid additional fees and charges,” Mr Minnikin said.
“Our Government is committed to revitalising front line services and this website will go a long way to reduce confusion, particularly for visitors, by providing motorists with all of the information they need.
“The user-friendly site contains maps, toll prices, information on the various toll payment options and links to the toll road operators’ websites for customers to make payments or open a tolling account.”
Queensland Motorways CEO Brendan Bourke, on behalf of the Queensland toll road operators, said the website demonstrated their commitment to working together with the State Government and Council to provide the best customer service possible.
“We want to improve the overall customer experience by making sure that information about using toll roads and paying tolls is easy to find and toll payments are simple and stress-free,” Mr Bourke said.
“Our intention for this website is to provide a central point where customers can find the information they need to make informed travel decisions and to reduce the number of motorists who travel on toll roads without toll payment arrangements.
“We want to help customers avoid receiving toll payment notices in their letterboxes when they return home from their Christmas holiday break.”
Mr Bourke said the website had been endorsed by the RACQ and could be accessed from their website.
The site also provides useful links for visitors to access including Brisbane Marketing, Tourism Queensland, RACQ, 13 19 40 as well as the Queensland toll road operators and is also compatible with mobile devices.
The Queensland Toll Roads website is a joint initiative of the State Government, Brisbane City Council, Queensland Motorways, BrisConnections, and RiverCity Motorway.
