Now is the time to nominate a local hero or admirable Australian who you would like to see recognised on Australia Day 2017 for the outstanding contribution they have made.
Each year the Awards recognise 128 Australians who have made a difference to our society in many different ways – either as volunteers, pioneers, charity founders, advocates for those in need, or as someone who has overcome their own challenges to help others.Nominations can be made across four categories:
· Queensland Australian of the Year
· Queensland Senior Australian of the Year
· Queensland Young Australian of the Year
· Queensland’s Local Hero
