Surf Life Savers at Coolum Beach now have better equipment to help them keep us safe in the water thanks to a state government grant of $4800 from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson was on hand to view the 12 new life jackets and mobile radio equipment the Club had purchased with grant money when she attended the ANZAC Day Beach Parade at Coolum Beach.
Ms Simpson is pictured with Coolum Beach Surf Life Saving Club Captain Warren Foxwell and President John Roderick.
“Our Surf Life Savers train hard all year to keep us safe in the water and this equipment will help them as they carry out this essential role,” Ms Simpson said.
