The FREE BreastScreen Queensland mobile screening service is visiting Bunnings Maroochydore from 10th to 16th January 2023.
BreastScreen Queensland provides FREE high quality breast cancer screening to women aged 40 and over. Women aged 50 -74 are strongly encouraged to participate in regular breast cancer screening as the evidence of the benefits of regular participation is strongest in this age group.
A breast screen is the most effective method of detecting breast cancer at an early stage even before a lump can be seen or felt. This is important because finding breast cancer at an early stage gives a woman the best chance for successful treatment and wellbeing.
Appointments at the BreastScreen Service at Bunnings Maroochydore can be made by calling 13 20 50 or visiting the BreastScreen Queensland website (https://www.breastscreen.qld.gov.au/make-an-appointment).
Doctor’s referrals are not required and Saturday appointments are available.
