Queenslanders who have contributed to our state’s cultural diversity have the opportunity to be recognised by the Premier’s Cultural Diversity Awards 2014.
Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Multicultural Affairs Glen Elmes announced that nominations for the 2014 Awards are now open.
“Our culture and lifestyle is made all the more vibrant by the contribution of migrants who’ve chosen to call Queensland home,” Mr Elmes said.
“Whether you know of a business that prioritises cultural diversity in the workplace or an active community volunteer, I encourage people to nominate for these prestigious awards.
“This is an opportunity to not only acknowledge the inspiring work done by many across our state to assist newly arrived Queenslanders, but also those who have supported the values of cultural diversity within the wider community.
“These awards celebrate achievements that promote the growth and development of strong culturally diverse communities across Queensland.
