Ambulance ramping is back at Queensland Hospitals and this is a big concern for the Queensland Public Health system. The Sunshine Coast University Hospital reported the highest number of patients in the state ramped at 48% – that means a patient is waiting in an ambulance longer than the recommended 30 minutes before receiving treatment. Along with 28.8% of patients won’t be treated within the clinically recommended timeframes when they present to the Emergency Department – a 6.8% increase since December 2019. Queenslanders deserve a world class health system and they’re not getting it. Myself, along with the LNP team will continue to fight this until we get the results that are needed.
