“I'm energised and excited to take on the Shadow Ministerial portfolio for Employment and Small Business, Training and Skills Development in the newly minted Deb Frecklington and Tim Mander LNP Team,” Ms Simpson, the Member for Maroochydore said.
“What a great portfolio to represent the real job creators of Queensland in the quest to employ people, lift standards of living and fight to see Queensland made the lead state again.”
Ms Simpson said that the portfolio was a great fit for the Sunshine Coast as the region was the small business capital of Australia.
“Entrepreneurs in the small business sector are the heroes and heroines who often put their houses and life-savings on the line to set up businesses and employ people,” Ms Simpson said.
“We need to hear their concerns, fight for the issues where they need government to take action and be their champion as they're the ones doing the heavy lifting in employing people, raising standards of living and changing lives.”
