The State Government is ramping up its commitment to improving safety around school zones with flashing light signs being installed at seven Sunshine Coast schools including Maroochydore State High School.
This extra safety boost is particularly important for schools like Maroochydore High where there is high volume of multi-lane traffic passing the school and the flashing lights signs will help to alert motorists they’re approaching a school zone.
The installation of flashing lights at schools located on multi-lane roads is in addition to the $10 million commitment announced during the election which will benefit more than 300 schools over the next four years across the state.
