I am absolutely horrified by the latest incident involving the Member for Mundingburra.
Les Walker represents a community where his government has allowed youth crime to run out of control.
Mr Walker has previously been banned from Townsville’s safe night precinct and now he is making a mockery of Queensland Police at a Police Remembrance Day service.
Nobody is buying Mr Walker’s excuse and it is laughable the Premier does.
Does the Premier genuinely believe Les Walker and does she support him to run as the Member for Mundingburra at the next election?
Last week the Premier refused to condemn misogynistic comments made by her Agriculture Minister and now she’s refusing to call out an out of touch, idiotic act made by another Palaszczuk Government MP. Why?
For a year, the Palaszczuk Government refused to listen to calls to launch an inquiry into the state’s Forensic Lab.
They accused the Opposition and whistleblowers of politicking while murderers and rapists could be walking free.
The cost of that inaction is enormous.
Now a Palaszczuk Government MP is making jokes about this incredibly serious issue facing the state on a day when police who have given their lives in the line of duty are being remembered.
If Palaszczuk Government MPs or the Premier can’t even take responsibility for something like this, is it any wonder they have so many crises on their hands?
The Palaszczuk Government takes responsibility for nothing.
Unless the Premier condemns the actions of Les Walker she’s as bad as he is.
The Palaszczuk Government is a disgrace.
Queenslanders deserve better.
