There’s been a lot of controversy about vaccinations, lockdowns and restrictions.
Ultimately, it is a personal choice people take to get a vaccination with the advice of their GP. I appreciate not everyone agrees, but I support encouraging people to have that conversation and for the uptake of vaccinations as a key part of giving us a pathway out of the pandemic as that’s vital to ensuring our hospital systems can cope, particularly the ICUs. I also believe it’s an important step to getting life back to normal. Queensland has about half the number of ICUs as New South Wales and currently they were running about 90% full in SEQ.
