No change to Home Assist Secure program

Minister for Housing and Public Works Dr Bruce Flegg has reassured elderly Queenslanders that there are no plans to scrap the popular Home Assist Secure service.

This is a vital service and it will continue to be fully funded.

Like all government programs, we want to ensure that they are operating as efficiently as possible.

Home Assist Secure provides funding to subsidise maintenance, repairs and modifications that relate to health, safety and security. Service providers would reasonably be expected to use the funds for those purposes.
