Sunshine Coast sporting clubs are urged to apply for State Government funding for large projects that provide new sport and recreation facilities or improve on existing facilities.
Local clubs are invited to apply for funding for larger scale infrastructure projects ranging from $400,000 to $1.5 million such as change rooms, new or upgraded fields, grandstands, etc that are not currently funded through current Get Playing program.
Get Playing Plus is the Government’s new funding program that will provide $20 million over two years to support clubs in the development of regionally significant community sport and recreation facilities.
Projects that target the increased participation of women and girls, accommodate multi-purpose, shared or co-located facilities, or that involve participation in outdoor recreation activities will be highly regarded.
The Get Playing Plus program is a great opportunity for Government to work together with local council and sport and recreation clubs to get more people into sport.
Applications are now open and close 20th October at 5pm. For more information please contact my office.
