The Loo with a View in Mooloolaba is to be demolished…..
For many locals the news that the Loo with a View is to be demolished was devastating as it holds many memories and is a Mooloolaba icon. Council reported that feedback from more than 1300 surveys and conversations with community and stakeholders showed a clear preference (75%) for the Concept Blue, which involves replacing the existing Loo with a View due to its aged state and accessibility issues – while still maintaining public amenities in the same location.
Funding and construction timelines for the next stage of Council’s Mooloolaba Foreshore Revitalisation are yet to be determined.
