I received many emails from people who are concerned about animal cruelty and believe there is a need for stronger laws to protect animals.
Every year the RSPCA receives about 1000 calls about animals trapped in hot cars. Some of these poor animals are rescued in time, but tragically some aren’t, and many pet owners escape any punishment for this act of cruelty.
That’s why the LNP is calling for new laws to give RSPCA inspectors more powers to protect vulnerable animals and to put an end to dog and cock fighting.
We are calling on the Government to toughen up our laws, back the RSPCA and make these important changes to help keep our animals safe.
