Lifeguards at Mooloolaba have a birds-eye view again to keep watch over swimmers and surfers thanks to natural disaster funding assistance from the State and Federal Government.
Sunshine Coast Council has now completed restoration works to resurrect the lifeguards observation tower, which was removed for safety reasons earlier this year due to severe coastal erosion resulting from ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald.

The federal and state government’s Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Assistance (NDRRA) grant provided 75% of the funding for the $500,000 project.
