The Palasczcuk Labor Government has cut the police budget by about $80million in the last two budgets at a time when our population on the Sunshine Coast and in Queensland is booming. Meanwhile, the Premier and her ministers have blown their travel and staff budgets by about $1million.
The State Government’s priorities are wrong.
In Parliament this week I called on the State Labor Government to properly resource the police and toughen up its laws in regard to serious violent sexual offenders, making it mandatory for continual supervision.
