Sunshine Coast Council is in the early stages of preparing a new planning scheme. The new planning scheme will guide future land use and development and will also seek to protect the things we love about our region.
Council is seeking feedback on a proposed vision for what the Sunshine Coast could look like in 2041, as well as proposed regional and local planning directions for the new planning scheme. The consultation period finishes on Thursday, 31 March 2022.
Your feedback is important to protect what is important in our region and your local area in the planning for the Sunshine Coast in 2041. Council has advised that your feedback will help inform drafting of the new planning scheme.
The Planning document is based on a population forecast to reach approximately 520,000 residents by 2041.
