Local organizations who are passionate about our beautiful Sunshine Coast environment are invited to apply for a share of $5 million in funding through the State Government’s Everyone’s Environment grants program.
Applications are now open for round three of the Everyone’s Environment grants program for local projects that focus on conservation, environmental research or heritage protection. Grants of up to $100,000 are available for environmental and research projects and up to $40,000 for heritage projects.
This is a great opportunity to make a positive difference to our beautiful natural environment and conserve Queensland’s cultural heritage.
So far, the Queensland program has engaged over 10,300 volunteers who have removed some 370 wheelie bins of rubbish, more than 76,000 hectares of weeds and planted 94,000 trees.
I look forward to seeing more local heroes, enthusiastic volunteers, local community groups and research institutions making a difference by getting involved in local projects.
Applications close on 15 August 2014. For more information on the Everyone’s Environment grant program, visit www.ehp.qld.gov.au.
