Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson is delighted to champion the work of the Salvation Army and to support the annual Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal to spread the joy of Christmas to thousands of children and families in need.
Ms Simpson encouraged shoppers at Sunshine Plaza to support the appeal by placing a gift under the Wishing Tree.
Ms Simpson said that donations of gifts will help the Salvo’s reach their goal in assisting approximately 300,000 people this Christmas.
“I want to thank Sunshine Coast residents for their generosity in helping the Salvation Army to make this Christmas brighter for thousands of Australian families in need” Ms Simpson said.
“The Salvation Army will ensure your gift makes a big difference to a child in need this Christmas.”
Gifts can be placed under the Wishing Tree at a local Kmart store up until Christmas Eve.
