Fiona Simpson is Principal for a Day in Maroochydore

Maroochydore MP Fiona Simpson went back to school today to play the role of Principal for a Day at Maroochydore State Primary School in celebration of State Education Week.

State Education Week is an annual series of events and programs celebrating state school education across Queensland. This year it is being held from Sunday 20 May to Saturday 26 May.

“I am proud of being a product of Queensland’s state school system and State Education Week is an opportunity for us all to recognise the quality education our state schools deliver for Queensland students,” said Ms Simpson.

“This is a great opportunity to see first-hand the hard work frontline principals, teachers, teacher aides and support staff provide to our kids.”

“I am committed to working with local schools to ensure the best education is provided for Sunshine Coast kids,” said Ms Simpson.
