Last week it was confirmed that Australia’s inflation rate is 6.1% and Queensland’s inflation rate is 7.3%, the second worst in the nation.
These are challenging economic times, particularly with surging power and grocery costs. That’s why it’s important that governments don’t waste taxpayers’ money and take care with how their decisions impact upon cost of living.
As Parliamentary Budgets Estimates finished this week, it was highlighted that this State Labor Government is responsible for wasteful spending, totalling over $3B .
The big waste is Wellcamp as detailed below, then there is $2M on luring just two tradies to Queensland, Koala Lab funding being spent on a new roller coaster, $40M on hotel quarantine contracts with hotels, the list goes on.
