Maroochydore’s Suncare Community Service and the Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club are among those who were successful under the latest round of State Government community funding.
It’s part of millions of dollars provided across Queensland through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and the Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund.
Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson said the grants were an important support for local voluntary organisations.
Organisations within the Maroochydore electorate successful in this round were:
· Suncare Community Services Inc, $31,818 for the installation of solar
· Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club – $15,454 for the purchase of rescue boat and equipment
· ASD Care (Autism Spectrum Disorder) – $34,898 for the purchase of a motor vehicle
Ms Simpson said she encouraged community organisations to apply for the next round of funding before the end of February 2014.
