Small Businesses are encouraged to apply for a grant of up to $15,000 to help boost business turnover, increase their workforce or improve their resilience. The previous grant recipients have used the funds for a range of projects such as introducing an online booking system, redeveloping websites, building a tailor-made workplace health and safety system and staff training.
To be eligible you need to be a small business that employs less than 20 employees and have had a turnover of between $300,000 and $600,000 in the last financial year. Businesses will also need to co-contribute at least 30 per cent of the total cost of the proposed project with the grant funding paid to successful applicants on completion of the project.
