Great news! After many years of advocacy I can confirm that the construction of the Mount Coolum National Park toilet amenities is happening. It’s a priority and been acknowledged by the Department of Environment and Tourism that such facilities are essential to providing a first-class visitor experience to a significant tourism destination.
My Sunny Coast colleague and the Minister for Environment and Tourism Andrew Powell, has confirmed that our Government is working with Sunshine Coast Regional Council (SCRC) to get works underway, with the allocation of $400,000 State Government funding secured. I’ll keep you posted as to the timing of work.
