Around 12,000 Queensland children are living in out-of-home care care or crisis* and they often leave unsafe situations with nothing but they what they are wearing. Care Kits for Kids QLD Inc is a not-for-profit charity distributing free care Care Kits backpacks to children in crisis / out-of-home care in Queensland.
The charity fills back packs with age appropriate new or handcrafted donations of clothing, toiletries, toys, books, educational items and quilt /wrap for distribution to Queensland Police Child Protection, Queensland Child Safety Services, Foster & Kinship Care and Domestic/Family Violence Services.
My office is a collection point and you can drop items in the pink bin anytime.
