ELECTORAL VISITOR VOTING:
The ECQ will deliver mobile polling to high-care residents of registered aged care facilities. This service allows residents to cast a ballot when ordinarily they would have difficulties attending a polling place. It should be noted only residents are eligible to vote at these mobile polling places and voting will not be made available for staff or visitors.
TELEPHONE VOTING:
Electronically assisted voting (telephone voting) is a limited service for eligible electors only.
To learn more, read the telephone voting fact sheet.
OVERSEAS & INTERSTATE ELECTORS:
Voters who are overseas or interstate for the 2024 State general election are eligible to telephone vote. Voting by telephone is a process that requires two phone calls – the first to register to telephone vote and the second to complete your ballot paper. This ensures the integrity and secrecy of your vote. You can register to vote once early voting commences on 14 October. For overseas voters, international call charges will apply.
- To register call 1300 912 782 (if you’re within Australia) +61 7 3035 8107 (if you’re overseas) and select 1. You will be asked to verify yourself on the electoral roll.
- After registering, you must call +61 7 3035 8107 and select 2 to cast your vote.
- Refer to the Telephone voting for overseas electors fact sheet for all the details including registration and voting times.
