Very bad legislation which is complex and poorly drafted was pushed through by Labor’s majority of MPs to change the Anti-Discrimination Act. The LNP voted against it as it will do more harm than good.
In a pluralistic society, citizens have the right to agree or disagree about issues of faith and belief. We need to have respect for freedom of speech and of religion. That includes respecting the right of parents to choose schools that are right for their student, and for faith-based schools and communities to be able to recruit in alignment with the faith and values.
