LNP outs ALP policy on congestion tax

Leaked documents revealing Labor Government plans for a congestion tax on SEQ roads were exposed by Shadow Transport Minister Fiona Simpson.
The tax which had been taken to Cabinet by the Transport Minister was contained in the draft Connecting Queensland 2031 document.
Ms Simpson released the Government’s confidential document which showed their plans to hit motorists with yet another tax.
The Premier was forced to publicly reject the tax policy. The LNP is also opposed to the tax and believes that motorists in Queensland, who are the highest taxed in Australia are not seeing value for their taxpayer’s money.
