Simpson exposes Labor’s advertising rort

Taxpayers’ money was taken out of the Transport and Main Roads budget by Labor Government operatives to illegally advertise Labor MPs, it was revealed recently in Parliament.
Shadow Transport Minister Fiona Simpson, whose work exposed the rort, said the advertising brochures were illegal under the Government’s rules.
“This long-term and tired Labor Government abused the Main Roads and Transport Budget for their own purposes. They make the rules, they break the rules and then they remake the rules. However, I am pleased my work to publicise this rort was instrumental in forcing the Premier to order two ministers to repay funds.”
