Getting the Sunshine Coast’s jobs back on track - LNP’s economic blueprint

Small business owners who attended my forum last year will be pleased to know that their voices were heard with the LNP’s new economic blueprint focussing on cutting payroll tax, red tape and onerous regulation.

The LNP believes it's time for government to get off the back of small businesses and allow them to grow and create jobs. An LNP Government will cut payroll tax by raising the exemption threshold from $1 million to $1.6 million over six years.

The LNP is committed to reducing unemployment in Queensland to 4 per cent in six years. This payroll tax cut will help small businesses create over 4000 new jobs for Queenslanders and will mean less red tape for businesses.

LNP's economic blueprint to cut payroll tax, red tape and onerous regulation includes:

• Restoring good economic management through Fiscal Principles to control spending, returning the budget to surplus by 2014-15, and paying down Labor’s $85 billion debt.

• The establishment of a Commission of Audit within the first 100 days to chart a path back to the AAA credit rating lost under Labor.
