Pacific Paradise Bypass & Maroochy River Bridge

The Pacific Paradise Bypass was a project I successfully championed and which has made a huge difference to the safety of the Maroochy North shore community. Together with the duplicated Maroochy River Bridge, community, these are some of the best items of road infrastructure on the Sunshine Coast.

I appreciated the Sunshine Coast community getting behind The “Battle of the Bridge” campaign which I ran in Parliament, the media, and literally, on the streets. We proved that together with people power we could change government priorities and it was another win for common sense.

Thus it was a pleasure to join the then Minister Warren Pitt, even though he was from the other side of politics, as together we cut the ribbon in recognition of this great bridge and what it would do for the community.
